Pre-conference activities start from 26th April with the main conference happenng May 1-4. Details can be found at http://amidatrust.typepad.com/conference2008/ ARTS AT THE BUDDHIST HOUSEThe Arts are flourishing in The Buddhist House this year. One aspect of this has been the creation of a new art room in our big attic space - yes we really are artists in our garret now. This space is available for the community or for visitors to use. A present we are just seeing it as open access, but we will be fixing some times when someone will be on hand to welcome people and show them where things are. Tuesday evenings we have a regular Pandramatics session, This involves improvisational drama with an emphasis on developing understanding of our lives, nature and spirituality. We have also been writing this spring. Dharmavidya has been developing his interest in poetry with over 150 poems this year and has created a very active poetry circle on Facebook. Caroline has been writing and has finished two new books (see below). Our monthly Arts and Spirituality series carries on through the Maitri project. Recently we have had sessions on Story Telling, Poetry, Chanting, Body Awareness, and we will have sessions on Pandramatcs and Visual Arts in the coming months. If you are interested in the arts, don't forget our Arts in France in August. A chance to holiday with likeminded people, join Buddhist practice and be creative.
