Today, when I set off for the University, I wrapped up warm in a fleece. Just as well. Although it was beautifully sunny there was a bitter wind. I've changed the time of the 'Meditation For Relaxation' sessions from early evening to lunchtime. It looks as though this is going to be a more convenient time - at the end of the day people just want to get home.
It's such a pleasure to teach people to meditate and to see how even that first attempt has an effect. One of the people who was there today was amazed that ten minutes had passed, when it had seemed like a couple to her.
Afterwards I had lunch with Yoke-Ling, one of the students who had been to the session, and talked with her about her plans to study as a post-graduate. Then I went to the Students' Union where the students' MakePovertyHistory group have had a stall all week. Here are a few of the students
and here is Father David, the Catholic Chaplain - a good chum - kind, wise and with a wonderful (quite wicked) sense of humour. I'm always glad to have a good chat with him.
