You know as a father to a young girl myself, I can see how this is a true statement and how it is up to parents to kind of "curb" this phenomenon...but that is easier said than done.

My daughter will be seven next month and I volunteer in her class once a week and am amazed at how "grown up" some of the parents make their children be, I'm all about letting her be a kid, have fun, and not get bogged down with things that are older than she is but with all of the emphasis and promotion of children actors/singers who are seemingly on every single product being sold it is a tough battle.
